Our most recent certification was conducted to reassure you that our products are dermatologically tested and safe for your skin.
We engaged an independent dermatological lab, to test our products. We are thrilled to announce that every single one came back with ZERO irritation to the dermal layer of skin. Because of this rigorous testing, these products have been approved to be dermatologically safe for your skin.
THE STUDY
The Study:
The aim of this study was to investigate the potential irritancy of eighteen (18) test products applied on the skin under an occlusive patch for twenty-four (24) hours on subjects with self-reported sensitive or normal skin. Clinical and dermatological assessment was conducted regarding the safety and tolerability of the materials.
A total of fifty-four (54) subjects with self-reported sensitive or normal skin, whose written informed consent had been obtained, were enrolled in the study. Medical history was taken, and concomitant medication was recorded for each subject. All fifty-four (54) subjects enrolled, completed the test according to the protocol.
48 of participants (89%) were females and 6 (11%) were males;
- Average age was 52 years (SD = 12.5), minimum age of 25 years and maximum age of 74 years;
- Race was noted to be Caucasian (80%), Asians (17%) and Indian/Subcontinent (4%);
- (41%) of participants reported that they have sensitive skin and 32 (59%) reported that they do not have sensitive skin;
- (22%) had a history of allergy and 42 (78%) reported that they do not have any allergies;
- (7%) having ‘Phototype I’ skin [Light, pale white, always burns easily, never tans.]
- (31%) having ‘Phototype II’ skin [White fair; always burns easily, tans minimally.]
- (46%) having ‘Phototype III’ skin [Medium, white to olive; burns moderately, tans gradually.]
- (15%) having ‘Phototype IV’ skin [Olive, moderate brown; burns minimally, always tans well.]
RESULTS
Results:
Across all test subjects, every single one of our products tested, were concluded to have NO dermal irritants, erythema, induration or severe reaction, resulting in us being able to approve our products as dermatologically safe for your skin.
We had a result rate of 100% non irritation for all skin types.
- There was 0% erythema [redness]
- There was 0% Induration [an increase in the fibrous elements in tissue commonly associated with inflammation and marked by loss of elasticity and pliability]
- 0% severe reaction with erythema, induration, vesicles (may be weeping), pustules
